LIBRARY

The library of Government Model College, Deithor is named asBonglongTerang Library and Information Science. With the aim to serve the reader community, the library has been planned to be a fully automated one. The library currently has more than 400 donated books along with books related to the courses. Two newspapers and two magazines have also been subscribed. Students will be able to access physical as well as electronic resources for consultation. Along with the open e-resources, some e-journals and databases are subscribed by the library to support the teaching-learning process and research. Career Consultation Services, Reference Services, SDI, CAS, Book Bank Services for special (economically backward, meritorious, specially-abled) students, Book Club, OPAC, Reprographic Service, Remote Access to library collection etc. are some other services to be provided by the library. Other than this, a special collection on Karbi-Anglong will be developed to preserve the cultural, and social heritages and disseminate the knowledge of the region. Library services will also be open to the people of the nearby areas who are passionate about reading and are desirous to enhance their knowledge and information. The library will be a recreational hub for both students and the public with a focus on improving creativity and motivating towards a brighter future.
