Government Model College, Deithor Conducted its 4th Annual College Week, 2024-25

With much enthusiasm and excitement, the 4th Annual College Week, 2024-2025 of Government Model College, Deithor, was held from 27^th January to 30^th January, 2025. Students from higher secondary and under graduate level had participated in more than 60 events of the college week. It includes sports, cultural and literary competitions. In line with the college week 2024-25, Some competitions under Debating and Symposium sections were held from 23^rd January, 2025.In addition to those competitions, some innovative events like Traditional Costumes competition, Inter-Departmental Cultural Rally Competitions have been introduced where participation and responses of the students were overwhelming.

As part of the inauguration of the College Week, 2024-25, on 27^th January, 2025, Dr. Dipok Kumar Bora, the hon’ble principal of the college hoisted the college flag at the ceremonial arena within the college premises in the presence of the teachers and students. On his speech at the occasion, the principal encouraged the student participants to take part in all the events wholeheartedly for the holistic development of every student. Following the principal’s address, the General Secretary of GMCD Students Union 2024-25, Mr. Arthajeet Bora lit the Olympic lamp.

Following the inaugural ceremony all the events were held according to the scheduled dates and time at the college premises.

The 4th Annual College Week came to conclusion with the Closing Ceremony held on 30/01/2025 at the open stage of the college. Renowned singer and cultural activist Mrs. Rajlaxmi Bora graced the occasion as the invited Guest. In the same ceremony, awards/ trophies/ certificates were distributed to the winners of various events. The programme was anchored by Ms. Dipsikha Engtipi and Ms. Konkana Sarmah.
