Department of Education

The Department of Education, Government Model College Deithor, Deithor, Karbi – Anglong-782480 was started in 2020 in the Main Academic Building. The primary goal of the department is to create awareness among the people about the versatility of education as a discipline and to promote manifold activities of education. We also try to establish co-ordination between community and education through various extension programmes. The department also endeavours to achieve good teaching and quality research which are essential for making a healthy academic environment.

• Our Goals and Objectives-

1. To develop a scientific attitude among the students.
2. To familiarize the students with problems related to environment and population.
3. To enable the students to gain knowledge about different psychological phenomenon i.e., Experimental psychology, abnormal psychology, personality, intelligence, interest, motivation, attitude, aptitude, attention, memory etc.
4. To understand the nature and processes of learning relevant to human being.
5. To make the students understand the role of education in changing social context.
6. To familiarize the students with methods of teaching, research methodology, measurement and evaluation, educational technology, statistics, problems and prospects of Indian education system, history of Indian education etc.
7. To familiarize the students with the use of different ICT tools and gadgets related to education and its allied subjects.
